Anyone planning to use the Glenora Ferry this long weekend should plan ahead and keep in mind that the ferry is still running on limited service.
Single ferry 30-minute service is remaining in effect until further notice because of record high water levels on Lake Ontario.
Parks Canada officials say the second ferry is a different size from the first and because of the high water levels, doesn’t fit properly into the dock, to accommodate safe transport of vehicles.
Officials say two ferry, 15-minute service won’t resume until water levels drop significantly.
