On June 16, 2019 at 7:35 p.m., Central Hastings Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) detachment responded to a report of a possible impaired driver on Highway 7 in the Municipality of Marmora and Lake.
At one point the vehicle pulled into the Valu-Mart and struck two separate vehicles and left the scene.
The OPP stopped the eastbound vehicle on Highway 7 east of Marmora.
As a result of the investigation charged is, Vladimir Glazounov, 59 years old of Ottawa, with the following:
- Operation while Impaired – Alcohol and drugs
- Operation while impaired – Blood Alcohol Concentration (80 plus)
- Dangerous Operation
- Fail to Report Accident
- Fail to Remain
- Driving Motor Vehicle with Unsealed Container of Liquor
The accused had his driver’s licence suspended for 90 days and his vehicle was impounded for seven days. The accused will appear in Ontario Court of Justice in Belleville, on July 11, 2019.
