Belleville Police Service responded to 37 calls for service from June 16, 2019 at 5 a.m. to June 17, 2019 at 5 a.m.
Theft Charge Laid
On June 16 at 11 p.m., police affected the arrest of a male for theft from an incident that had occurred on May 4 of this year. The suspect had stolen from a local gas station in May and was observed last night at a restaurant next to the gas station by the complainant, prompting him to call police. Police identified the male as 36-year-old Belleville resident Michael Spatola. Spatola was released on a form 9 appearance notice with a July 18 court date to answer to the charge of theft under $5000.
