A woman from Napanee has avoided a trial and has pleaded guilty after the body of an infant was found at her mother’s Napanee area home 4 years ago, in May of 2015.
She was arrested in Banff, Alberta.
Recently in a Napanee courtroom Kirsten Pemberton pleaded guilty to infanticide and concealing the body of a child and not guilty to first degree murder.
Pemberton was 24 years of age when the charges were laid.
A sentencing hearing is underway.
