Belleville Police Service responded to 81 calls for service from June 7, 2019 at 5 a.m. to June 8, 2019 at 5 a.m.
A two vehicle collision in the city just before midnight sent five people to hospital according to Belleville Police.
The collision occurred at the intersection of Moira St. W and Yeomans Street and involved a car and a van with five occupants.
The Traffic Management and Forensic Units were called in to investigate and to reconstruct the scene.
The investigation is ongoing and the full extent of injuries is unknown.
In the past 24 hours, police have responded to 10 collisions in the city.
