A Trent Hills man has been charged with drug impaired driving after a crash on Highway 7 around 7:30 Wednesday morning.
Peterborough County OPP say officers witnessed a car cross the centre line and collide head-on with a truck that was travelling in front of a police cruiser.
A Drug Recognition Evaluator was called in and the investigation led to 39-year-old Jeremy Pitre being charged with dangerous driving and driving while impaired by drugs.
He had his licence suspended and vehicle impounded, and will appear in Peterborough Court on July 4.
Police say thankfully nobody was injured in the crash and are reminding all drivers that if you plan to use drugs or alcohol, make sure you take a cab, use a designated driver, stay overnight, or find another way to get home safe.
