Quinte West council is hoping to get moving on improving life for boaters.
Council is applying for $400,000 in federal funding to upgrade the Ontario Street boat launch in Trenton on the shores of the Trent River.
The entire project is estimated to cost around $800,000.
The federal funding is earmarked to infrastructure or programming that focuses on boosting tourism.
