An event that never fails to bring out a crowd for a good cause is once again taking place at Zwick’s Park on Saturday.
The 19th annual Brain Tumour Walk is set for this weekend.
Brain Tumour Foundation of Canada CEO Susan Marshall says they’ve had the privilege to walk with an incredible group of people who are affected by an often devastating disease for 19 years.
Registration for the walk begins at 8:30 a.m. at Zwick’s Park, 10 Bay Bridge Road on Saturday, June 8. The survivor photo is set for 9:45 a.m. with the opening ceremony set for 9:50 a.m. The walk will begin at 10 a.m.
The organization is encouraging as many families as possible to come to Zwick’s Park to join the event.
Brain Tumour Foundation of Canada is the only national charity offering information and support to patients affected by any kind of brain tumour – be it cancerous, non-malignant or metastases.
The organization funds ground-breaking research across North America and, since 1982, has dedicated over $7.2 million to finding a cure and improving treatment for brain tumour survivors.
