PRIDE week is underway around the Bay of Quinte area.
There have been several activities so far, including the opening ceremonies in Picton Saturday, the Pride Interfaith Service Sunday, and the Beer for Queers event at Bourbon and Bean on Friday.
PRIDE Spokesperson John-Ross Parks says this year is the 50th anniversary of the Stonewall Riots in New York City, which began the visible civil rights battle for the gay community.
Parks says Tuesday continues with the PRIDE Youth Summit.
