It’s the Canadian Cancer Society’s Relay for Life season.
Among local communities, the City of Quinte West will be holding the first relay to honor cancer victims and raise money for research and local programs helping those suffering with the disease.
The Quinte West Relay for Life goes this Saturday June 01 from noon until 11 p.m. at the Trenton High School track.
Teams or individuals can still get involved. You can either call the Hastings Prince Edward Cancer Society’s Lola McMurter at 613 962 0686 or go to website to register.
Last year, $63,000 was raised in Quinte West. The goal this year is $65,000.
Prince Edward County’s relay goes in June 7 at the Picton fairgrounds and Belleville’s is June 22 at Loyalist College.
