Intoxicated persons
On May 26, 2019, at 4:36 a.m., officers responded to a report of an intoxicated female banging on the windows of a residence on Wellington Cres. Police located a 53-year-old Belleville female who was placed under arrest for Being Intoxicated In a Public Place. She was held at the Belleville Police Service until sober and released on a Provincial Offences Notice.
On May 26, 2019, at 9:20 p.m., officers attended the area of Bridge Street East regarding an intoxicated male who was having trouble walking on his own. Police located a 27-year-old Belleville man who was highly intoxicated. He was arrested by police for Being Intoxicated In a public place and was transported to the Belleville Police Service where he was held until sober and released on a Provincial Offences Notice.
On May 27, 2019, at 12:10 a.m., police attended a business on North Front Street regarding an unwanted male. The 33-year-old Belleville male was causing a disturbance and refusing to leave the establishment. Initially, the male left the establishment upon police request yet refused to leave the premises. Subsequently, the male was arrested for Being Intoxicated In a Public Place and held at the Belleville Police Service until sober. He was released on a Provincial Offences Notice.
Suspended Driver
On the 26 of May, 2019, at 10:30 p.m. police were patrolling the area of Wallbridge Cres. when they observed a vehicle attempt to avoid detection by driving off the main road, through parking lots, to avoid the police cruiser. A traffic stop was initiated and through investigation it was revealed that the 24-year-old Belleville male driver was a suspended driver. He was charged with Driving While Under Suspension and given a court date in June to face the charges.
