Here’s an understatement. A lot of people, especially younger people, don’t read a lot of print and that would include tourism brochures.
So the City of Belleville, along with the Belleville Chamber of Commerce, the Bay of Quinte Regional Marketing Board and other partners has
launched a new website aimed at attracting more visitors, tourists and locals alike, to the city.
It’s titled visitbelleville.ca
It’s taken a lot of work but as the mayor of Belleville Mitch Panciuk said at the launch, the city needs more of a digital presence to attract people adding there’s
a “renewed sense of optimism” in Belleville and area.
The website is very user friendly and is essentially a digital version of the print brochure Discover Belleville.
Elisha Purchase of the City of Belleville said some people wander about saying there’s nothing to do in Belleville but “a visit to this website will make it very clear
that that is certainly not true.”
The website features events, attractions, stories from locals (to be changed regularily), food and drink, entertainment, and accommodations sections.
The website also promotes the Chamber’s Log Cabin headquarters as the place to go for face-to-face information on what’s happening and available in Belleville and
the entire area.
