The final numbers have been counted and it has been another impressive year for the Trenton Military Family Resource Centre’s Invisible Ribbon gala.
Devon Taylor with the MFRC says the Jetsetters gala brought in $127,398. She says that is up over $9,000 from last year ($118,000).
More than 250 guests gathered at the National Air Force Museum of Canada, celebrating the work of the MFRC and raising awareness and money for the cause.
Actors from the Stirling Festival Theatre walked guests through the evening, hosted the event, and played up the theme of the fundraiser.
The evening also honoured the sponsors who helped to make the evening what it was.
Major donations came from title sponsor Scotiabank, who gave the MFRC $15,000, while the Belleville Senators handed over a cheque for $10,000.
Dozens of silent auction items and a number of high end live auction items were also part of the evening, along with music, a photo booth and a number of other airline themed activities.
