(BANCROFT, ON) – In the morning on May 8, 2019 officers of the Bancroft Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP), responded to a theft complaint from a business on Hastings Street North in the Town of Bancroft.
Officers attended and observed a male on video attend the business, remove an item and leave the store without paying for the item.
As a result of the investigation, Michael Patrick Hickey, 44 years of age, of the Municipality of Hastings Highlands has been charged with theft under $5000.
The accused was released on a promise to appear at the Ontario Court of Justice in Bancroft on May 28, 2019.
