The investigation into an alleged murder near Campbellford earlier this month continues but the OPP’s search for the victim has been suspended, at least for the time being.
According to Today’s Northumberland, the OPP, including K9 units and dive teams suspended the search for a missing male on Friday.
On May 6, officers responded to Centennial Lane which is north of Campbellford and discovered evidence that someone had been seriously assaulted and a search was launched.
Meanwhile, 62-year-old Stephen Murray Kelly of Selwyn Township in Peterborough County has been charged with first degree murder and is in custody.
