There’s been an update to the total amount raised across the Quinte region on McHappy Day earlier this week.
While $18,000 or so was raised between the three Belleville stores and the Madoc location, that total has jumped to close to $30,000 when you factor in the restaurants in Bancroft, Brighton and Quinte West as well.
A dollar from every Big Mac and hot McCafe beverage bought on Wednesday went to the Ronald McDonald House Charities and The Children’s Foundation locally.
The local dollars will help to send more than 170 kids from across our area to camp this summer.
