The Quinte West Fire Department wanted to say thank you to many of its members Tuesday night.
During the Emergency Services Committee meeting, medals for long service were handed out.
Committee Chair Sally Freeman, Mayor Jim Harrison, and Fire Chief John Whalen handed out 52 volunteer awards with recipients from all seven stations.
The medals were given for 5, 10, and 15 years of volunteer service.
