Pam Davidson has qualified for the Pan American Weightlifting championships in Orlando Florida in June.
Davidson led a group of 6 lifters from the Victory Barbell Club to compete at the Canadian Masters Weightlifting competition in St. Thomas. She had a total lift of 114 kilograms to win gold in her age and weight class. Davidson has also qualified to compete at the World Masters Weightlifting championship in Montreal in August.
Earning silver medals were Amy Caine, Shannon Steele and Gary Lewis. Sarah Condon lifted for a bronze with William Condon 4th in his division.
Christine Walt and Joanne Moring of the Apollo Barbell Club also won gold medals. Walt was also inducted into the Canadian Masters Weightlifting Hall of Fame.
Lifting for silver were Meredith Stranges, Cory Walt and Mike Carroll.
Bob Walt was the recipient of the Canadian Masters Weightlifting Lifetime Achievement Award.
