Two men have been charged in separate impaired driving incidents in Northumberland County.
The first traffic stop was made around 11:00 a.m. last Friday, following a crash on the eastbound 401. A vehicle was reportedly weaving through traffic and almost hit the concrete barrier, before colliding with the back of another car.
Forty-year-old Adam David Roper, of Peterborough is charged with impaired driving and dangerous driving.
Then on Monday, officers pulled over a car on Grand Road in Campbellford and noticed the driver had been drinking.
Sixty-nine-year-old Daniel Joseph O’Connell of Prince Edward County failed a roadside breath test and was also charged with impaired driving and driving without a permit.
