Two Belleville police cruisers sustained some damage as officers dealt with suspects in a stolen vehicle just after midnight today (Monday).
Police say they responded after calls about several youths stealing a vehicle in the older section of the east hill.
Police stopped a vehicle in the area of Moira and Grove Street and in the process the cruisers and the suspect vehicle suffered minor damage.
Four young offenders were arrested. No one was injured.
Meanwhile, at about the same time, around 12:30 this morning (Monday), police were called again to the east end of Belleville when a home’s alarm went off.
A bedroom window had been smashed and money, medication, and jewellery were stolen.
An OPP Canine Unit was called in but no arrests were made.
