The Drake Devonshire in Wellington was the host of an event with a focus on grains, and the farmers that grow them.
On Wednesday night, the Grain Farmers of Ontario hosted a “Crop Up Restaurant”.
It was one of two in the province this year.
Victoria Berry is with the GFO and says the event was a way of showcasing grains, and their importance in our diet.
Lloyd Crowe is with the Grain Farmers of Ontario, and is also a 10th generational Prince Edward County farmer.
Guests included members of the media, farmers from across the province, and those that work in the agriculture sector.
Dietitian Michelle Jaelin also talked with the group, stating that grains are a crucial part of any healthy diet.
