Northumberland O.P.P and emergency personnel say they attended a single vehicle crash involving a school bus with students on board this morning at 8:30 a.m., on Cold Springs Camp Road north of Port Hope.
The bus was carrying eight students when it lost control crossing from the northbound lane into the southbound lane and landed on its side in the west ditch.
The driver, and two children ages 9 and 11 years, were taken to hospital with minor injuries and have since been released.
Police say, the 48-year-old female driver from Curtis, Ontario has been charged with careless driving, not wearing a seat belt and not accurately completing a vehicle inspection report.
