The County of Prince Edward is officially ending its relationship with former CAO James Hepburn and naming an interim replacement.
Robert McAuley has been named Acting Chief Administrative Officer, effective immediately, following the announcement of Hepburn’s departure on April 1.
McAuley has worked for The County since 2009, with nearly 10 years experience overseeing the Engineering Development and Works Department, before becoming the Executive Director of Infrastructure, Capital and Development Initiatives last year.
Mayor Steve Ferguson says McAuley’s experience makes him the perfect candidate to lead the municipality through the transition to a full-time CAO, with an extensive search beginning in the coming weeks.
