A call about gun shots in an unsafe area has led to charges against a Trent Hills man.
The report came in to Northumberland OPP on Sunday, just after 2:30 p.m., from a resident in Seymour Township.
Police found the man in possession of a loaded gun with no valid firearms licence.
Sixty-nine-year-old Stephen Turcott is charged with two counts each of discharging a firearm and careless use of a firearm, along with one count each of possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose, unauthorized possession of a firearm, improperly storing a firearm and common nuisance endangering life.
He was held for a Monday bail hearing in Cobourg Court.
