Bantam Red Devils at Provincials
The Quinte Foley Bus Lines Red Devils have a 2-0-1 record after the second day of the Ontario Hockey Federation Bantam “AAA” championship tournament in Toronto.
Quinte tied Sault Ste. Marie 6-6 in the first game of the day. Last night they thumped Thunder Bay 10-0.
Cooper Matthews had a hat trick with Corbin Roach and Owen Beck scoring twice. Dalyn Wakely had 4 assists and Corbin Votary turned away 20 shots for the shutout.
The Red Devils are tied with the Toronto Marlies and they go head to head this morning (Wed) at 10.
Napanee hosts Alliston in Jr. “C” semi final opener
Napanee will enjoy home ice advantage as they host the Alliston Hornets tonight in game one of the Ontario Junior “C” Hockey semi final series for the Tubby Schmaltz Cup.
Napanee is 12-0 in the playoffs following sweeps of Port Hope, Picton and Uxbridge.
Tonight’s game at the Strathcona Paper Centre begins at 7:30.
Game 2 is in Alliston on Friday with game 3 in Napanee Sunday afternoon at 4:30.
