The budget process is moving along quite well in Tyendinaga Township according to CAO Brad Roach.
Following Monday’s special council meeting he says he expects the budget to be finalized by mid-month.
This year there is a significant investment in capital infrastructure according to Roach.
He says they have a new tanker for the fire department, a new snowplow/tandem truck, new backhoe and aggressive road reconstruction work.
Roach says there will be a tax increase but expects it to be a minimal year over year increase.
In other news, the municipality will be making their carpool lots more easily accessible. During the summer months the Marysville and Shannonville car pool lots will see some upgrades, including paving.
