It was a wet month of March in the Quinte region as far as the weather was concerned.
Our area received almost 26 centimetres of snow which is the normal amount for the month.
However, almost 70 millimetres of rain fell, much of that last Saturday (March 30), which is well above the usual
monthly rainfall of 41 mm.
As far as temperature was concerned, the average high was 3 degrees celsius, slightly colder than usual, while the average low ,between minus 2 and 3,
was a little warmer than normal.
The highest temperature reached last month was 11.5 degrees while the lowest was a bone-chilling minus 24.3.
