A national gas price watchdog is advising that you fill up this weekend, as prices are expected to surge in our area and beyond starting on Monday and going into the summer driving season.
Dan McTeague of gasbuddy.com was a guest on the Lorne Brooker Show Thursday morning and says gas will be getting more expensive, as producers switch from the cheaper winter gas to summer gas in the coming weeks.
He also says the implementation of the federal carbon tax on Monday will make an impact as well.
McTeague says you should expect to see prices around $1.25 to $1.28 per litre as we head into the first week of April.
