UPDATE: Reports indicate building was to be a medical marijuana dispensary.
A building under construction burned down early this morning (Tuesday) on the Tyendinaga Mohawk Territory.
Mohawk firefighters responded just before 4:30 a.m. to a fully engulfed structure fire at 214 Highway 49, between Bayshore and York Roads.
The building had been under construction for the past month or so. It was vacant and no one was injured.
Fire crews remain on scene dousing hot spots in the rubble that remains and an investigation for a cause is underway.
