Commercial Motor Vehicle Inspections
On March 23, 2019 Central Hastings OPP detachment conducted Commercial Motor Vehicle (CMV) inspections throughout the day.
Commercial motor vehicles were brought off Highway 7 between Madoc and Marmora and inspected.
As a result of the day’s inspection, 41 traffic stops were conducted. Two CMVs had their plates removed. Two CMVs were removed from the highway and put out of service.
Officers served 17 Provincial Offence Notice charges for the following offences:
- 1 Use plate unauthorized
- 1 Permit operation of a vehicle – fail to display device
- 1 Defective breaking system
- 1 Draw trailer, no permit
- 1 Fail to surrender permit for trailer
- 12 speeding
Central Hastings OPP will be taking part in monthly Commercial Motor Vehicle inspections that are being conducted throughout the Province of Ontario.
