The Belleville Police Service responded to 82 calls for service between March 22, 2019 at 5 a.m. and March 23, 2019 at 5 a.m.
Drug warrant
On March 22, 2019, at 1 p.m., Belleville Police officers conducted a search warrant at an east end residence. The operation resulted in four persons being arrested and charged for possession of a schedule I substance for the purpose of trafficking. A 42-year-old Belleville man, a 32-year-old Belleville man, a 22-year-old Belleville woman and a 30-year-old Belleville man were charged with possession for the purpose of trafficking. Two of the parties were released on a promise to appear and an OIC undertaking while the other two were held for a show cause hearing.
Arrest on warrants
Belleville, Ontario – On March 22, 2019, at 8:15 p.m., police attended a north end residence for a report of a disturbance. While at the scene, police officers recognized one of the males that had an outstanding warrant for his arrest. A 23-year-old Belleville man was arrested under the power of the warrant for failing to attend court and he was held for a show cause hearing.

Belleville, Ontario – On March 22, 2019, at 3 p.m., a female attended the Belleville Police Station to turn herself in on her outstanding warrants. A 36-year-old Belleville woman was arrested for failing to appear for fingerprints and photographs. She was also held for a show cause hearing.
Domestic
Belleville, Ontario – On March 22, 2019, at 9:05 p.m., officers attended a west end residence for a complaint of harassment at the hands of an ex-boyfriend. An investigation into the complaint resulted in an 18-year-old Belleville man being arrested for two counts of criminal harassment. He was later released on a Promise to Appear and an OIC undertaking with conditions.
Intoxicated female
Belleville, Ontario – On March 23, 2019, at 2:20 a.m., police attended a north end location for a report of a female passed out near the sidewalk. A 45-year-old Belleville woman was arrested for her own protection under the Liquor Licence Act. She was issued a provincial offence notice for being intoxicated in a public place.
