Belleville’s West Riverside Park might get even more interesting for kids.
The Rotary Club of Quinte, now celebrating its 50th anniversary, is proposing to have an “outdoor musical park” built near the Pirate Ship at the park.
The club will pay around $34,000 for the low maintenance percussion instruments to be installed in the park by the city.
Kids will be able to play instruments like drums, handpipes, xylophones, and maracas to their hearts’ content.
City of Belleville staff is recommending council approve the plan at its meeting Monday afternoon.
It’s hoped the installation would be done by early this summer.
