Napanee OPP are investigating the death of an inmate at the Quinte Regional Detention Centre.
Police say paramedics were called to the facility in Napanee during the early morning hours on Monday to the report of an unresponsive inmate.
The 31-year-old man was pronounced dead at the scene.
The OPP Criminal Investigation Branch is leading the ongoing investigation surrounding the circumstances of the death.
No other information was released.
