A 47-year-old Madoc man is facing some serious charges after he attempted to flee from police on Monday evening.
Central Hastings OPP say an officer saw a vehicle on Hwy. 62 travelling at a high rate of speed.
When the officer attempted to stop the vehicle, the driver tried to evade police by turning onto Bannockburn Road. The driver failed to negotiate the turn and collided with a snowbank.
Carl Card of Madoc is facing impaired operation of a motor vehicle, impaired operation of a motor vehicle with a blood alcohol concentration over 80 mgs, flight from police, dangerous operation of a motor vehicle, driving while suspended, speeding and driving with open liquor.
Card will appear in Belleville court on April 5.
