Belleville’s Kenzo Dozono has been honoured by the Ontario Karate Federation.
The Belleville Sports Hall of Famer has earned the 2018 “Special Achievement Award” as the most dedicated Karate Instructor in Ontario. Dozono is the long time owner of Belleville’s S.K.I. Karate School.
He was recently appointed chairman of the Technical Committee of the Ontario Karate Federation which has taken on additional importance as karate will become an official sport for the 2020 Summer Olympics in Tokyo.
Dozono is an 8th degree black belt. He was inducted into the Belleville Sports Hall of Fame in 1994.
