Quinte Red Devils Weekly Report- March 11-17
Free Flow Petroleum- Minor Midget
The Free Flow Petroleum Minor Midgets cap off their season with a great showing at the OHL cup.
The team worked hard in the round robin to win 3 of the 4 games and advanced to the quarter finals.

QRD Bantams are off to the OMHA Championships!
On Thursday the FDC arena was packed full as your Devils hosted the Richmond Hill Coyotes for game 3 of their series. The first goal of the game came from the Coyotes just 3 minutes into the opening period. At the end of the first the Coyotes were up 1-0. In the second period your Devils would respond with 3 goals in an 11 minute span which switched the momentum back to their side. At the 3 minute mark Richmond Hill would find the back of the net to pull back within one. At the end of the second it was 3-2 Devils. In the third period the Devils would strike first to regain a 2 goal advantage. One minute later the Coyotes would score again but this would be there last goal of the game and series as Quinte would score two more goals to take the game 6-3 and wind the series 3-0.
Your Devils will now move onto the OMHA Championship tournament. The host this year is the York Simcoe Express and all games will be held at St. Andrews College in Aurora. The schedule is posted on our Quinte website.

Madison Excavating- Major Peewee
The Madison Excavating Peewees finished their second round of playoffs with another 3 game sweep and eliminating the Markham Waxers.
Game three was at home on the CAA Arena this past Wednesday. The Devils opened up scoring early in the first with a goal from Liam Philip, assisted by Ben Danford and Braedyn Rogers. The Waxers tied the game a few minutes later but Quinte answered back before the end of the first to take a 2-1 lead on a shot from Beckett Ewart, assisted by Jared Langdon and Rogers. The Devils added another 2 in the second from Philip and Landon Wright. Assists came from Brody Partridge, Philip and Rogers. The Waxers would add one in the second and third but an empty netter in the dying seconds of the third from Ewart, assisted by Danford, sealed the 5-3 victory for the Devils. Mike McIvor was in net for the win.
The Madison Excavating Peewee Quinte Red Devils will host the OMHA Tournament this upcoming weekend March 22-24. Game times for the team will be posted on the Quinte Red Devils website.
The Pond at Rhino Sports & Playland- Minor Atom
On Monday, the Rhino Sports Minor Atoms entered game 6 in a winner takes all match against the Barrie Colts.
Both Barrie and Quinte were tied with 5 points each. The team fought hard, but with only one lone goal scored by Jonas McCoy, the boys were defeated 4-1 by Barrie.
Quinte had one more chance to move onto the OMHA finals by taking on Richmond Hill on Tuesday in Madoc. The Coyotes got on the board first. Quinte’s first goal came late in the second period when Brayden Davidson passed to Chase Cybulskie who found the back of the net. At the end of the second period the score was 3-1 for Richmond Hill. Jonas McCoy, assisted by Nate Rashotte, fired in the second goal of the game. Cybulskie would score one more goal for Quinte late in the third, but the Coyotes won the game 4-3.
