Brighton’s Trennt Michaud is a long way from home and he couldn’t be happier.
The 22-year-old Belleville born Michaud and partner Evelyn Walsh of London are in Saitama Japan competing for Canada at the World Figure Skating Championships.
The two-time Junior Canadian Pairs champions are skating at the senior level for the first time at the Worlds.
The short program is Wednesday and the Free Skate is on Thursday.
Michaud is Belleville’s 2018 Athlete of the Year. He is currently affiliated with the Trenton Figure Skating Club.
