The search for two people missing in Northern Ontario after their helicopter didn’t return from a flight last week has come to an end.
A tweet from the Trenton Joint Rescue Co-ordination Centre stated that the aircraft had been found and the Search and Rescue Techs found the couple without vital signs.
A massive air and ground search began between Sudbury and Kapuskasing for the couple who had been missing since last Monday after taking off from Sudbury in a small helicopter.
Two Hercules and two Griffon helicopters from CFB Trenton’s 424 Squadron took part in the search, along with several other military and civilian aircraft.
OPP have taken over the investigation.
