Quinte West council is being asked to chip in to help the Grace Inn Homeless Shelter become a reality.
Wednesday night, Quinte West’s Corporate Finance Committee voted to recommend council donate $5,000 to Grace Inn.
Councillor Allan Dewitt says homelessness knows no borders and is a regional issue.
Interior renovations are now underway at Grace Inn and it’s hoped it will be operating sometime this year.
