Uttering Threats
Belleville – On March 3, 2019 at 12 p.m., police responded to a call with regards to foster home staff being threatened. Investigation resulted in a 15-year-old male being arrested later that day and charged with two counts of uttering threats. The male was released on a promise to appear with a court date later this month. His name is withheld in accordance with the Youth Criminal Justice Act.
Shoplifter
Belleville – On March 3, 2019 at 5 p.m., police received a report of a female who had stolen merchandise from a north end retail store and left but was caught on surveillance video. Police attended and were able to determine the identity of the female who was located later that evening. Twenty-seven-year-old Belleville resident Jaquelin Bloor was issued a form 9 appearance notice for theft under $5000 and given a court date for later this month to answer to the charge.
Breach of Probation
Belleville – On March 3, 2019 shortly before 11 p.m., police responded to the report of a disturbance at an apartment in the city’s east end. Once inside the apartment, police located a 22-year-old male who lied to police about his identity. Police were familiar with the male and were able to establish his true identity. Investigation revealed that he was on probation not to associate with two residents of the apartment who were present, including a child. The Belleville resident was arrested and taken to The Belleville Police Service where he is being held for a bail hearing on three counts of breaching his probation and obstructing police.
Arrest on warrants
Belleville – On March 4, 2019 at 2:15 a.m., police arrested a male in the area of Bell Blvd on the strength of outstanding warrants for failing to attend for fingerprints, failing to attend court as well as break and enter, and possession of break-in tools which were the original charges leading to the fail to appear warrants. The 41-year-old Belleville male is being held to be brought before a Justice of the Peace at bail court.
