Gleaners Food Bank and the Quinte Region Food Share Shelter are getting set for their annual Empty Bowls event Saturday.
It takes place at Loyalist College from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. and brings together artisans, chefs, the food banks, and supporters.
Gleaners Executive Director Susanne Quinlan tells Quinte News it is a wonderful day to be a part of.
Quinlan adds that of course there is soup as well.
Bowls are $25, or large fruit bowls are $40.
Buns and cookies are also available.
Twenty-six vendors are part of the event as well, along with folk music.
There is also a demonstration from the Quinte Woodcarvers Association.
