On Sunday February 17, 2019, officers from the Northumberland Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) entered into a domestic dispute investigation.
On February 18, 2019 a 29-year-old man from Toronto was arrested and charged with the following offences:
- Uttering Threats – Cause death or bodily harm (six counts)
- Cruelty to animals – unnecessary pain, suffering or injury
- Assault (five counts)
- Assault with a Weapon
The accused was held in custody for a bail court hearing on February 18, 2019.
The name of the accused is being withheld to protect the identity of the victim.
