The Belleville Police Service responded to 56 calls for service between February 19, 2019 at 5 a.m. and February 20, 2019 at 5 a.m.
Motor vehicle collisions
On February 19, 2019, at 11:53 a.m. officers attended on Strachan Street in relation to a two-car collision. A 54-year-old Belleville man was charged with driving while under suspension. There were no injuries.
On February 19, 2019, at 12:04 p.m. officers attended on Station Street at Ashley Street in relation to a two-car collision. A 90-year-old Belleville man was charged with careless driving. There were no injuries.
On February 19, 2019, at 6:46 p.m. officers attended on Evans Street at Geddes Street in relation to a two-car collision. A 26-year-old Belleville man was charged with failing to stop at a stop sign. There were no injuries.
Prohibited Driver
On February 20, 2019, at 1:18 a.m. an officer on patrol conducted a traffic stop on Herchimer Avenue. A check revealed that the driver was a prohibited driver. Fifty-year-old Joy MacRae of Belleville was charged with driving while prohibited. She will appear in court on March 14, 2019.
Liquor Licence arrests
On February 19, 2019, at 6:30 p.m. officers attended at an apartment building on Village Drive in relation to a male causing a disturbance in the hallway. A 23-year-old Belleville man was arrested for his own protection.
