Quinte West Council is poised to approve the 2019 capital budget with a total of just over $13.1 million.
Councillors held a second special meeting to cover the spending plan on Tuesday with only one significant change made from their first meeting two weeks ago.
A firm plan has been approved for the reconstruction of King Street, which Director of Corporate and Financial Services David Clazie says won’t affect the final budget number.
Mayor Jim Harrison says the King Street project is a major undertaking.
Councillors also approved a combined Water and Sewer Capital Budget at about $16.9 million.
Both spending plans have to be officially approved at an upcoming council meeting, but you can click here to read the final 2019 Capital Budget Report and see the full capital budget breakdown by clicking here.
