C-F-B Trenton will be involved in a project developing and testing technology to disarm explosives from a safe distance.
The initiative, by Defence Research and Development Canada, is one of 24 research projects to improve Canadian security, at a cost of 35-million dollars.
Private Sector and Academic Recipients were chosen to receive funding based on how their project responds to science and technology priorities for pubilc safety and security.
Joining Eight Wing in the project to develop technology disarming explosives are the Department of National Defence, International Safety Research, March Scientific Limited and the White Sands Test Centre in the United States.
