It was a good month for people on social assistance or disability allowances in Hastings County in December.
Hastings County’s Community and Human Services department reports that through its Employment Extra program and Employment team, 69 people were placed in jobs in December.
Meanwhile, eight others graduated from the Elevate Plus training program and all of them were offered full-time employment at Vantage Foods, Canadian Blast Freezers, and Kruger Products.
