Trenton Memorial Hospital Foundation has been swamped with applications for the Kay Stafford Memorial Fund grants this year. Executive director Wendy Warner says 20-applicants are seeking a total of 300-thousand dollars for various projects…three times last year’s number. Warner says 75-percent of the invested income goes to local agencies in need of medical equipment or a health and wellness-type project. So far the Kay Stafford Memorial Fund has awarded more than 450-thousand dollars for such items as defibrillators, rescue toboggans, first aid and C-P-R training, and burn kits.
