TEE UP FOR MARLIES-SENATORS

The Belleville Senators will play a rare Tuesday game as they head to Toronto for a clash with the Marlies tonight.
Belleville (20-23-2-3) remain in eighth place in the North Division after suffering its third straight shootout loss Sunday. The Sens haven’t lost in regulation in their last five games, collecting seven of a possible 10 points along the way as they continue to hunt the fourth spot in the North Division where they currently sit eight points back.
Toronto (24-16-3-3) have started to heat up having gone 7-2-0-1 in their last 10 and are currently riding a three-game winning streak thats seem the defending Calder Cup champions move up to third place in the division.
The Marlies hold an 11-10-2-0 record at home while the Senators have won just seven of its 26 road games.
Roster notes
The Sens received some help Monday as Nick Paul cleared waivers and re-joined the team. With a busy stretch upcoming for Belleville — five games over their next eight days — no word yet on which direction Troy Mann is leaning for starting goaltender tonight but Marcus Hogberg be the prime candidate.
Jim O’Brien, Boston Leier, Darren Archibald, Andrew Sturtz, Joseph LaBate, Stuart Percy and Adam Tambellini are out for Belleville.
Previous history
The Senators have found success so far against their 401 rival this season going 4-1-1-1. The teams last met in Belleville Jan. 25-26 for a back-to-back with each collecting a win, although the Sens gathered three of a possible four points with a shootout loss.
Who to watch
Sens defenceman Cody Goloubef has been a big addition for the team, especially on the power play. Goloubef has five points (one goal) in eight games with Belleville since being acquired from Pittsburgh.
Marlies all-star defenceman Calle Rosen has four points in his last three games and has notched 34 points (five goals) in 43 games which leads all Toronto defencemen.
