Major donations to the Belleville Fire Department and to the Glanmore National Historic Site will mark an important part of the community’s development.
The Vance (Russett) and Emerson families have donated original pieces of fire department equipment used by the Belleville Fire Department as many as 150 years ago.
There will be a public open house tomorrow (Tuesday) starting at 6:30 to view the artifacts at the fire department’s headquarters at Station and Bettes streets.
There will be an official ceremony at 7 and Glanmore museum staff will be on hand to answer questions from the public.
The artifacts will be restored at Glanmore.
