The OPP have released more information about the two collisions on the 401 in Tyendinaga Township during Wednesday afternoon’s snowstorm.
Napanee OPP responded to the eastbound 401 just west of the Wymans Road overpass shortly before 2 p.m.
The first collision involved a cube van and a transport truck. A second transport collided with the first transport truck causing a diesel spill on the highway.
Police note the weather was poor at the time of the collisions.
The Ministry of Environment continues to investigate and the highway is still reduced to one lane (as of Thursday at 5 p.m.)
